Yellow Archangel
Lamiastrum galeobdolon

This shot was taken just outside a small village called Widley in Hampshire. This flowering plant is also known as 'Herman's Pride' and belongs to the mint family. It is found over much of Europe and can grow up to 60cm tall. It has a nettlelike appearance, especially the leaves and whorls of yellow flowers growing around the main stem; the lower lips of the flowers are streaked with red in early summer.
